The Reflections Shine Bright on the Longest Night

Writer's picture: Steph FitzsimmonsSteph Fitzsimmons

Today 12/21/24 is the winter solstice ... the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It's a perfect time to light a candle or step outside and look at the stars in the night sky while remembering the animals we've loved before. Give your current furkids some extra love. Think, draw, write, look at pictures, or talk to someone about the ones we've loved and lost. It keeps their memory alive and may bring you some peace.

This is dedicated to the my dogs who went before ... Takoda (RIP 2011), Catori (RIP 2011), Vegas (RIP 2013), Lena & Loki (RIP 2021), and most recently and still impossible to write about without a whole lot of tears, Dukie (RIP 2024).

You were all so loved and sharing my life with you made it so much better.

Left to right from top to bottom: Vegas, Catori, Takoda, Lena, Loki, Dukie
